We spent last night in bunk beds in a little hostel about a mile away from Temple Bar, the touristy drinking area. Surprisingly, we slept well. The woman who runs the place speaks little English and reminds us of Mrs. Doubtfire, only not as funny. Last night we met some very nice Irish locals and some visiting Swedes who took us out on the town and opened our eyes to the wide world of Irish beer. At a 23 and older bar, we sat next to a group of friendly girls wearing Scottish tartan hats with the little puffs on top. They were all 17 and had just graduated from high school. They did not get carded. We did. I have a feeling that if Vanessa wasn't with me, she would not have been carded either. I was dragging us down.
Today we're out and about in Dublin. We just took a tour of Trinity College and saw the Book of Kells, a beautiful illuminated manuscript. We've also walked around St. Stephen's Green and are on our way to St. Patrick's Cathedral. The Irish love cathedrals.
It's raining today and everything is very expensive in Dublin (2 Euros for a water?! Come on! 5 euros for a beer! That's like $8 American.) But we're having a great time. Stay tuned!

We are still basking in the glow of your wedding! Good thing about being old basking takes a lot longer. We do admit being jealous about your trip. We are enjoying every morsel you share. We love you both. Keep having fun. Grandma & Grandpa
